A Holistic & Integrative Approach to Wellness

Whole Heart Holistic Health was created and developed by  Caile Hanlon, NBC-HWC.

While working in the health care industry, Caile saw the need for a holistic and integrative approach to health & wellness.  The traditional model of health care has come so far, yet with insurance restrictions and the pressure to see as many patients as possible, practitioners have little time for patient interaction, education and conversation.  This makes getting to the root cause of unhealthy habits and behaviors very challenging.  That is where Whole Heart Health Coaching comes in.

About Health Coaching 

Health coaching is a collaborative partnership providing the foundation for self-actualization and motivation for lasting change.  Health Coaches support clients in realizing internal strengths and external resources to make sustainable and healthy behavior changes. Health coaches use a client-centered approach to health where goals and outcomes are decided by the client, not by the coach. 

How is Health Coaching Different Than Traditional Health Care?

In the traditional health care system, doctors, dieticians, and nurses  often tell patients what needs to change, but do little to provide guidance on how to change.  Often, people already know what needs to change, but they do not have the tools, understanding, or clarity to make the changes.  Health Coaching fills the gaps between doctors recommendations and implementing lifestyle and behavioral changes that actually stick.  Clients who work with Whole Heart Health engage in self-discovery and co-create their ideal wellness vision with the help of their Health Coach which leads to lasting behavior change.  Whatever the goals are that the client sets, Caile ensures they are supported and felt heard.  As a Health Coach, Caile will walk beside you on your journey to lasting wellness. 

Caile's Approach

Caile uses an individualized, holistic, non-judgmental approach to health coaching.  That means she takes each client, case by case, and meets them where they are at in their health journey by unbiasedly listening to their story and helping them connect where they are now, to where they would like to be on their health journey.  She works holistically  by helping clients look at all areas of their life and realizing how they are connected. Is stress in your job causing you to overeat?  Does lack of sleep diminish your energy for exercise?  Caile offers personalized guidance and support to help clients set realize barriers and then set goals for themselves and provides non-judgmental accountability for progression towards these goals that helps clients keep moving forward despite hurdles they may encounter.

What Does the Health Coaching Process Look Like?

Your Journey Towards Lasting Wellness Starts Here

  1. Introductory Call

    1. The health coaching journey begins with a complementary intro call to see if our visions align. If both parties determine that health coaching is the right fit for your goals and wellness vision we will proceed with further sessions.  This is a free session where any questions or concerns you have will be discussed in a non-judgmental and non-committal way.   

  2. Initial Consultation

    1. The initial consultation is an hour long session where we dive deeper into your aspirations for health coaching.  This is a deep conversation where we look into your history and motivations for change.  Sometimes people will come into this session knowing exactly what they want to change and sometimes people need a bit more clarification.  In either case, we will discuss and dive into your ideal vision of health and wellness.

  3. Discovery Sessions

    1. After we have explored your long term vision, we dive deeper into your reasons to change.  Does stress at your job cause you to eat junk food? Does lack of sleep cause you to have low energy and prevent you from exercising?  The discovery phase can last one session or many sessions, but the deeper we connect your motivation for change to your deeper meaning and goals the easier it will be to achieve your these goals.

  4. Goal Setting & Planning

    1. Once you are clear on the habits or behaviors you want to change we set both long and short term goals.  We utilize the SMART goal setting process to make sure these goals are achievable.  Starting with smaller goals to achieve ‘little wins’ which in turn transform into big goals and big wins. 

  5. Accountability Check-Ins​

    1. Sticking to a plan or goal is not always easy, sometimes you need someone to hold you accountable.  During this phase, sessions are more sporadic, however, just as important to ultimately reaching your health goals.  Bi-weekly or even monthly check-ins help clients stick to the change process. 

About Caile

Caile is a health coach who is passionate about helping people connect the links to a happy, healthy, well-rounded life. Caile has always been interested in the human body and mind.  Caile attended Sacred Heart University where she pursued dual degrees, graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science Sports Medicine and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology.  After graduation, Caile began working as an Exercise Specialist in a Physical Therapy clinic. While there, she saw the need for a holistic and inclusive plan for patients to reach both their physical therapy and overall wellness goals. This led her to the world of Health Coaching. She spent over a year immersed in theories of motivational interviewing, compassionate communication, and goal setting to help clients reach their full self-determined potential. She sat for and passed the National Board Exam for Health & Wellness Coaching, which is the highest level of coaching certifications and is endorsed by the National Board of Medical Examiners.  She developed and founded Whole Heart Health as a way to help people of her community realize and reach their ideal vision of wellness.
